Lyon wanted to sign Olmo at the end of the season
RB Leipzig got there first and signed Dani Olmo, who was on Lyon's radar. The French side wanted to have him in summer 2020.
Dani Olmo's last few months of football made big European clubs show interest in signing him. RB Leizig won the race to sign the Dinamo Zagreb player.
According to 'Le10Sport', the move has ruined Lyon's plans as they were planning on buying him at the end of the campaign.
However, both Dinamo Zagreb and the footballer felt it was right for Olmo to move in January so Lyon fell out of the running.
Olmo, who used to be at La Masia academy, moves to a quality league like the Bundesliga with the aim of winning the league title in May.
