Ligue 1 side Lyon have reportedly made contact with Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic, and have made the American their top priority this summer. The Blues may be keen on the move to help balance their spending.

After four seasons with Chelsea, Christian Pulisic may be the next player to leave the Blues. He has struggled for game time in London and the USMNT star has several interested suitors.

The most active of these look to be Lyon, who have made contact with the forward's camp, according to 'L'Equipe'. The controlling shareholder of Lyon also holds 45% of Premier League side Crystal Palace, and could offer to lure the American there as an alternative option.

It appears all parties would be happy with a move, as Pulisic feels the talks promise more regular minutes, and Chelsea are happily culling their senior squad to reduce their huge wage bill.

The American would be happy staying in the English league but would have to consider lowering his salary, as he currently rakes in over £200,000-a-week at Chelsea and many clubs would be unwilling to match that, given his low impact in London since he arrived.
