Luka Vuskovic, who joined Tottenham Hotspur this summer, made his debut for Spurs in a friendly against Reading and did not disappoint. The young player provided an assist and scored a goal within his first eight minutes on the pitch on Saturday.

Tottenham enjoyed a stellar debut from Luka Vuskovic in their first pre-season friendly. The young Croatian defender, signed by Spurs in September 2023, arrived in London this summer as an 18-year-old, and his first outing was certainly eye-catching.

Following a goalless first 45 minutes, the defender replaced Kevin Danso at the start of the second half. His introduction completely changed the match, as he provided an assist and then scored himself within eight minutes.

His first contribution came in the 49th minute from a corner taken by Mohammed Kudus. The Ghanaian whipped in the corner from the left, Vuskovic headed it on, and Will Lankshear nodded home from close range to open the scoring (0-1).

Then, in the 53rd minute, the Balkan defender, still in an advanced position following a set-piece, latched onto a pass from Mohammed Kudus and, like a seasoned striker, finished with a diagonal shot into the far corner of the net.
