After reports all day over Spaniard Luis Enrique being in London discussing a possible deal with Chelsea, when asked about his trip at the airport, he claimed he had been in Formentera.
Luis Enrique was supposedly in London on Wednesday to discuss a deal with Chelsea. Agent Ivan de la Pena accompanied him there, with Fabrizio Romano confirming the information and claiming that the London delegates will continue to speak with Nagelsmann if the Asturian doesn't go there.
However, on returning to Spain, the ex-national side coach was found by a 'Jigantes' reporter, and questioned about his trip. When faced with this, Enrique replied: "London? I've come from Formentera. It's wonderful, a paradise island", he added whilst smiling.
What must be said is that the Spaniard did not deny nor confirm the rumours of reaching a deal with the Blues in recent days, with him keen to get away from the journalist.
What is certain is that Enrique is keen to manage another top side after leaving the Spain job after the World Cup in 2022. He even said he was a big fan of the Premier League a couple of weeks ago.
