Son Heung-min decided to end his time as a Tottenham player to try his luck in the MLS. The South Korean winger signed a contract with Los Angeles FC, becoming the most expensive player in MLS history with a reported transfer fee of 26 million dollars.
The former Leverkusen player gave his first words after being announced as a new LAFC player, explaining the reasons why he decided to join the MLS team when he had several options on the table.
Son said he decided to "be happy" by signing for a team that has a large Korean fan base and also highlighted that Los Angeles is one of the best cities in the world. Hugo Lloris, his former teammate at Spurs and captain of LAFC, was also key in his decision.
