A supersonic display by Sadio Mane and Liverpool during the first half earned the hosts a well-deserved 2-0 lead at half-time and since very little of notice happened after the break, Tottenham never looked like they could come back. Liverpool improve to joint-fourth in the standings, at 49 points, while Spurs are at 50 points, sharing second place with Arsenal.
