Liverpool to pocket 15 million for Minamino's sale to Monaco
'RMC Sport' reveals that Liverpool and Monaco recently reached an agreemnt for the arrival of Takumi Minamino to Monaco, who will pay a total of 15 million for the footballer.
He was one of the Liverpool players who was most linked with a move away in recent months and it seems like he will finally go to the Principality. That is because everything seems to suggest that Takumi Minamino will play for Monaco next season.
'RMC Sport' said that both clubs have now reached an agreement and that the deal will be completed after Monaco pay 15 million euros for him. The Japonese will leave the Reds after three seasons in which he has made 54 appearances, scored 14 goals and given three assists.
Minamino never managed to get a regular place in the starting XI at Liverpool since arriving from Salzburg in the 2019-20 campaign. He ended up playing just short of 200 competitive matches (195) and scored on 63 occasions.
He left Anfield halfway through the 2020-21 season when he went on loan to Southampton, but he did not do much there. He scored just twice in 10 appearances. Now, Minamino is about to get his first taste of French football.
