According to the 'Sunday People', Liverpool are hoping to extend a number of players' contracts, but the Brazilian remains a priority with Barcelona reportedly interested.
Coutinho has been a great success at Anfield since joining from Inter Milan in 2013 and is one of Jurgen Klopp's key men in their attacking style of play.
The 24-year-old signed a new deal 18 months ago which runs until 2020, but Liverpool are desperate for him to commit his future to the club once again.
Since joining from Inter Milan three years ago, coutinho has gone on to play 153 times for the Reds and has scored 32 goals.
