Liverpool are now closer than ever to losing a key midfield duo. Alongside the likely departure of Fabinho, captain Jordan Henderson has almost completed his move to Saudi Pro-League side, Al-Ettifaq. According to 'The Athletic', the English international has completed his medical with the club, and the deal could reportedly be signed next week.

Jordan Henderson is now close to completing his move to Saudi Arabia, after 'The Athletic' reported that he had completed his medical with Pro-League side, Al-Ettifaq, on Friday.

The Liverpool skipper would join former Reds teammate and legend, Steven Gerrard, who was hired by the club as manager earlier this summer. Liverpool will receive a fee in the region of £12 million for their captain.

The England international has reportedly been offered a deal that would see him earn £700,000-a-week with the Saudi side and journalist, Fabrizio Romano reports that the deal could be signed and completed next week.

The Reds are also set to lose midfield mainstay Fabinho to Al Ittihad, which means that Jurgen Klopp would need to look to add another player to new arrivals Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai.

There are several options on the German's shortlist but Romano reports that they are in contact with Southampton's Romeo Lavia, despite a hefty valuation of £50 million by the Saints.
