Former Liverpool hero Jamie Carragher told 'Reds' star Philippe Coutinho that he's not leaving the club any time soon during an interview following the Champions League win over Spartak Moscow on Wednesday.

The former Liverpool defender was speaking to the Samba star alongside former Middlesbrough striker Jan Aage Fjortoft after the Brazilian had scored his first hat-trick for Liverpool to help them to a 7-0 victory against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League.

The flow of the interview was interrupted though as Carragher's phone went off part way through, leading Norwegian Fjortoft to joke 'It's probably Barcelona, it's Barcelona.'

The trio burst out laughing at the suggestion, before Carragher put on his serious face to insist 'No, he's staying!'

Coutinho was heavily linked with a move to Catalonia in the summer, but Liverpool successfully fended off the interest.

Despite their failure to do a deal, Barca are thought to be considering revisiting a move for the Brazil international in January, though it appears they'll be out of luck if Carragher has anything to do with it.
