Liverpool supposedly have 150 million euros in bank ready for Mbappe. The Reds are interested in getting him in their attack, but it would have to wait until 2023/24 to sign the Frenchman, because in January it would not be possible to get him.
Emile Heskey, ex-Liverpool man, spoke to 'Gambling.com' about the possibility of Mbappe going to Anfield. For him, it would not be the right move, even if he is one of the main-men at the moment.
"It would be hard for anyone to reject Mbappe, but if you sign a new contract and you are already kicking up a fuss to leave... why would he not do it again in the next club he goes to?"
Heskey thinks that footballers who leave their former club in that way have no place in Liverpool. "The only problem I have is the way in which some players leave their clubs. What does it say about you when you have just signed on and you already want to leave? As a manager, you would have to ask yourself if you really want that.
The big clubs are always going to have stars, but everyone should follow the same rules" he stated. He does not think that Klopp would do any favours to Mbappe: "I do not think he is willing to treat anyone differently from anyone else".
"Mbappe is a world-class player, and he would get into anyone's starting-11, but he brings a lot of problems with him", he finished.
