FT TOTTENHAM 1-0 INTER-- They've done it! Spurs have managed to grind out this must win victory thanks to a Christian Eriksen strike 10 minutes from time! They now know that they now have a chance to go through to the last 16 of the Champions League!

Into the final minute of stoppage time now, can 'Spurs' hold out for a crucial win? Inter have sent their goalkeeper up field in a desperate bid to score an equaliser....

CHANCE INTER! GREAT SAVE FROM LLORIS! The 'Spurs' captain stands up well at his near post to parry a Perisic piledriver into the stands. That save could prove CRUCIAL for Tottenham, who would have had a mountain to climb had the Frenchman not produced such a magnificent stop.

CHANCE SPURS! Straight into the action, Eriksen fires a deep cross into the far post, and but for a better piece of finishing from Jan Vertonghen, the hosts would have had the lead! The Belgian directs his header at the side netting! So close!

CHANGE SPURS- Eriksen replaces Lamela in the middle of the field. Can he unlock this stubborn Inter side and help Tottenham win a vital three points?

CHANCE SPURS- Alli hits a spinning shot on the half volley from the edge of the area, but the speculative effort flies wide of the Inter net.

An intriguing battle is emerging in the centre of the park between Harry Winks and Borja Valero. Both men have been guilty of committing cynical fouls on one another in the past few moments, and it seems like tempers are getting heated between the pair.

CHANGE SPURS- Tottenham's first change is to bring on Son for Moura. Sunday's Derby hero will be looking to make an impact for the home side here.

CHANCE INTER- from the resulting corner, Skriniar has the chance t prod in from close range, but he is off balances and instead nudges the ball over the bar.

CHANCE INTER- a swift breakaway leads to the ball being fizzed in at the near post. Yet a double sliding challenge from Vertonghen and Alderweireld rescues Tottenham.

The low drive ricochets out of play for a corner. Tottenham use the break in play to plot an effective counter attack, which is just stopped at the last by a recovering Asamoah.

CHANCE SPURS- A long range shot from Kane is well gathered by Handanovic. 'Spurs' need to get their star man more regularly into the match if they have any hope of getting the three points here.

And we're back underway at Wembley! A huge 45 minutes ahead for both Tottenham and Inter, as they hope to continue their progression in the Champions League.

HT- TOTTENHAM 0-0 INTER -- a finely poised half ends all square with everything left to play for in the second half. Both sides have made openings, but one feels that if either makes one count, it could be enough for all three points on the night (and possibly a spot in the last 16).

The first half is coming to a close with the sides tied in deadlock. Both teams have been positive in offensive areas but have yet to make that 'golden chance' to take the lead. In such a finely poised affair, it seems that if either side makes and takes that chance, they will take the spoils and qualification this evening.

CHANCE SPURS! WINKS HITS THE BAR! The young midfielder curls a long range effort at goal and it just does not dip enough, hitting the bar at the last! Great effort there!

After end to end action where both sides threatened to break the deadlock, the match has calmed somewhat. Nonetheless, both sides are still looking very dangerous, and so the result of this match is anyone's guess.

CHANCE SPURS- A break away led my Sissoko finds its way across the field to the on rushing Moura, but the Brazilian's effort is tame and Handanovic gathers. What a great chance for the opener there!

Inter beginning to show their metal here, as they try to up the tempo in the match and press 'Spurs' high up the field.

BOOKING ALDERWEIRELD- the defender is the first player put into the referee's notebook for a cynical foul on Icardi, as the Argentine tried to break into the Tottenham box.

CHANCE INTER- a mix up in the 'Spurs' defence sees Brozovic steal the ball inside the penalty area. Yet the Croatian is unable to pick out Icardi in the middle and the ball is blocked for a corner.

CHANCE INTER- The visitors get into a really good area with Asamoah, but good tracking back into the defensive channel by Erik Lamela sees the ball go out for a corner. The subsequent set piece is cleared by Tottenham.

CHANCE SPURS! Lamela is the next player to try his luck, he shoots from the edge of the box, but is unfortunate to drag his shot wide of the far post!

Alli on the edge of the penalty area once more there, but although he decides to slide the ball into the channel for Davies, his pass it over hit and the opportunity is wasted! Opportunity knocks for the hosts here! You can sense that if they sharpen up their ply slightly, the opener will not be far away.

FREE KICK SPURS! Kane is cynically barged off the ball by Brozovic, and the hosts have a free kick in their own half.

Inter struggling to keep the ball and sustain attacks at present. Tottenham's back line are doing well to break up the play when the visitors do manage to break out and attack them.

CHANCE SPURS! Another mazey run from Kane puts the hosts on the front foot. He lays the ball off to Alli, but the midfielder fires his shot over the bar! Disappointing end to a promising attack for 'Spurs'-Alli could have slid Sissoko into the channel, which would have made a more clear opportunity for his side. Nevertheless, Tottenham are being positive and is should produce rewards if continued...

CHANCE SPURS! Kane bursts into the Inter box and fires a rasping drive at goal from the by line! Handanovic stands up well to the shot and the Inter defence clear. The first real signs of danger from Tottenham there!

CORNER SPURS- the first set piece of the match goes to the hosts, but they are unable to put the ball past Handanovic in the Inter net.

A frantic start to proceedings here as neither side is able to retain possession for too long. Both sides are looking good on the offensive but seem slightly too open at the back for the time being.
