Modric wins!

Fifa president Gianni Infantino is here to present the award, and it goes to the Croatian midfielder! Modric won the Champions League for a third consecutive time with Real Madrid, before taking Croatia to the final of the World Cup. He gives a long speech, in English, Croatian and Spanish, and we'll have the full quotes to follow soon.

Who will be 'The Best' Woman?

First up, let's see who will win 'The Best' award for women. Ada Hegerberg, Dszenifer Maroszan and Marta are up for the award.

There are two awards to go!

Just the two more to go on this award's ceremony. The Best awards for both female and male players.

No Salah in the World XI!

There is your team! That means that there is no room for Mo Salah this time. He's won goal of the year, but it does not bode well for his chances of picking up the big prize. Idris Elba poses for a photo with all the team, excluding Ronaldo and Messi because they have not attended the ceremony, and we are onto the next award.

Who were the best fans?

Now comes the award for the best fans in the world. Nominations include the Japan and Senegal fans who cleaned up after themselves at the World Cup in Russia.

Don't Look Back in Anger...

Now is the time for Noel Gallagher apparently, and he starts with a classic as the crowd of world class footballers are treated to a rendition of Don't Look Back in Anger.

Thibaut Courtois wins!

He has already won the award for best goalkeeper at the World Cup, and he can now add 'The Best' goalkeeper award to that.

Arsene Wenger is here!

To present the next award, for coach of the year, we have former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger in the room. Idris Elba goes on to talk about his relationship with Wenger - as a boyhood Arsenal fan he has some mixed feelings!

Mo Salah wins the Puskas award!

The Egyptian will be going home with at least one award tonight. His goal against Everton garnered over 38% of the public vote and he takes home the trophy!

Three women going for glory

Both men and women compete for their own 'The Best' prize, and the three ladies up for it this season are:

There is more than one prize up for grabs

Although the eyes of the world will be on three men, we will also find out the best female player over the past season, the best coach, the best coach in women's fo0tball, best goalkeeper and the famous Puskas award winner. In addition, there are awards for the best fans, for fair play and the FIFPro World XI will be revealed.

The three nominees for the main award, as you probably already know, are Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Mo Salah.

The ceremony is nearing!

In little over an hour the ceremony for the FIFA 'The Best' awards will get underway in London. There, we will find out who has won the prestigious award, along with a few others including the Puskas Award for the best goal scored in the last year.
