Lingard doubled United's lead with the help of a deflection
Jesse Lingard continued his fine goalscoring form of late against West Brom on Sunday, though he needed a helping hand to do so.
Jesse Lingard continued his fine goalscoring form of late against West Brom on Sunday, though he needed a helping hand to do so.
With 35 minutes on the clock and with United leading thanks to a Romelu Lukaku strike, Lingard found himself in a shooting position on the edge of the West Brom box.
The England international duly took aim and whilst his effort was on target, it took a significant deflection off the hapless Ahmed Hegazi to wrongfoot Ben Foster in the West Brom goal and nestle in the back of the net.
The strike means Lingard has now scored four in his last five Premier League games.
