Just a day after their last friendly, Manchester United have travelled to Ireland to play one final pre-season match against Athletic Bilbao. Erik ten Hag's side have just over a week before they kick off their 2023-24 Premier League season at home against Wolves.
Manchester United are making the most of their last weekend before the Premier League returns. Just over 24 hours after they pulled off a three-goal comeback to beat RC Lens at Old Trafford, the Red Devils have travelled to Ireland to play a final pre-season match against Athletic Bilbao.
The 3-1 win over the Ligue 1 side on Saturday also saw the unveiling of new striker Rasmus Hojlund, who has joined United on a highly-anticipated five-year deal as they look for domestic league glory once again.
The Red Devils will be without the young Dane in this last pre-season game, as well as the opening weeks of the league, as he reportedly picked up a small injury before his move and will therefore take a few weeks to get back to match fitness.
