Robert Lewandowski, just after the end of the match against Wolfsburg, stopped by the microphones of 'Viaplay Sport' and let slip that he could have played his last game against Bayern Munich.
Bayern Munich ended their German season with a 2-2 draw against Wolfsburg. Lewandowski, their star player, scored his 50th goal of the season and could have scored his last goal for the Bavarians.
And we say this because the Pole, just after the end of the match at the Volkswagen-Arena, spoke to 'Viaplay Sport' and said a few words that did not sound like a farewell: "It is very possible that this was my last game for Bayern. I can't say 100 per cent, but it could have been. We want to find the best solution for me and the club."
The striker's comments came as a bitter pill to swallow for Bayern fans. Just look at the image of the player after the final whistle. Lewandowski walked over to the area where the Bavarian fans were standing and stared at them for a few seconds.
The striker, as a gesture of goodwill, thanked them for their attendance and did not hesitate to salute and applaud them. He even put his hand to his heart. The Pole's future is far away from the Bavarian side and Barcelona is already on the horizon.
