'Bild' reports that Robert Lewandowski and his entourage do not expect Barcelona to make a new offer for him that would satisfy Bayern Munich, at least not soon. The Pole sees more sense in the Bavarians lowering their demands to facilitate a deal that he has already publicly acknowledged he wants to see happen.

Barcelona are going through a delicate financial situation and it is not easy to put on the table the €50 million that Bayern Munich are asking for Robert Lewandowski. The economic difficulties of Joan Laporta's management are precisely the reason why the striker does not expect a new proposal, at least not soon.

'Bild' claims that the Pole and his team believe it makes more sense for the Bavarians to lower their demands in order to reach an agreement. That would be ideal for him. He has already said in public that he wants to leave the Allianz Arena to join the Camp Nou, a pitch that Franck Kessie has already walked on during his official presentation.

Reaching an agreement between the Spaniards and Germans is complicated because the German club distrust that there is sufficient margin in the Catalan coffers to face the operation. A journalist from 'The Athletic', in a podcast of his own medium, went so far as to state that a payment up front has been requested, without instalments or clauses.

The situation currently affecting Barcelona could soon improve, as Joan Laporta is working on several fronts to reduce the club's debts. The possible sale of Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United, some of his famous financial levers, the departures of Umtiti or Lenglet... there is still a lot to tackle this summer.
