Juventus player Leonardo Bonucci is closer to renewing his contract. As reported by 'Relevo', the Italian club sped up talks with the captain to increase his contract, as his current contract is due to expire in 2023.

Leonardo Bonucci is a Juventus legend. After eleven seasons as a 'Bianconeri', the Italian could extend his contract with the 'Vecchia Signora', according to 'Relevo'.

Despite his age, the centre-back continues to be the leader of the 'Bianconeri', as he has always stood out for his great character on and off the pitch. Agnelli, president of the Turin club, would reward him for all these years with a contract until 2024.

At 35, he would end his contract with the 'Vecchia Signora' in 2024, that is to say, at 37. However, the information from the aforementioned media revealed that it would be a year or two later that he would extend his retirement.

The criticism of this season's performance seems not to have affected the board. They feel they still need him and, despite leaving in 2017, all seems to have been forgotten.
