Leipzig demand £70m for Liverpool target

RB Leipzig have slapped a £70m price tag on Naby Keita amid reported interest from Liverpool.

According to reports in English newspaper the 'Guardian', Liverpool have received encouragement in their quest to sign RB Leipzig's Guinean international midfielder Naby Keita, though the German club have made it clear that the player will not be going anywhere for less than £70million.

Liverpool are keen to sign the box-to-box midfielder, who has impressed since joining from fellow Red Bull side Red Bull Salzburg last summer, whilst they also maintain an interest in Southampton's Virgil Van Dijk.

Liverpool had been hot favourites to sign Van Dijk this summer but were forced to pull out of a deal after Southampton threatened to report them for tapping-up the player. Though the 'Guardian' reports that they ramain interested in the Dutch international.

With both players valued at £70million according to the 'Guardian', it could be an expensive summer for Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp, who have already signed Mohamed Salah from Roma.
