Leicester City are believed to have offered £16.5 million for Hull City defender Harry Maguire.

According to reports coming out of England, Hull City central defender Harry Maguire could be set to move to Leicester City. Despite the 'Tigers' originally demanding £20 million, 'The Daily Mail' believes that they are now prepared to accept a lesser offer for his services.

With only a year left on his contract and following a stellar campaign with Hull, Maguire is not short of suitors, Newcastle, Everton and Spurs have all been linked with a bid for the former Sheffield United man, though his desire to play regular football may rule out certain clubs.

Leicester would certainly seem like a good fit for the strapping stopper, with their first-choice centre-half partnership of Robert Huth and captain Wes Morgan boasting a combined age of 65 and Yohan Benalouane's performances often flattering to deceive, the former Premier League champions are certainly in the market for a defender. Any move would presumably give new Hull manager Leonid Slutsky quite the transfer war chest, with the Russian said to be considering a move for Chelsea defender Tomas Kalas as a potential replacement for Maguire.

The same source states that there has been further interest in Hull's 2 left-backs, Andrew Robertson and the highly-rated Josh Tymon, with the latter attracting the interest of Stoke City.
