The Brazilian coach accepted the blame for the resounding defeat of the Brazilian national team and apologised to the fans before accepting the superiority of the 'Albiceleste' in the match. Brazil will have to keep on fighting to close a World Cup qualification that they have already got on track.

Brazil coach Dorival Junior took responsibility for his team's 4-1 loss to Argentina in Buenos Aires and apologised to his fans, although he said he was confident of being able to turn the situation around.

“The responsibility is all mine,” said the coach, who admitted that everything he had planned prior to the South American ‘Clasico’ went wrong. “Argentina were better, superior in every way,” he added, before apologising to the Brazilian fans.

He also acknowledged that the Argentine triumph was deserved and considered that “it is very difficult and very hard to try to explain a situation like this”.

“We did not manage at any time to impose what we wanted,” he explained and acknowledged that the team is “beaten” after the heavy defeat against the 'Albiceleste': “It is natural that a result like this hurts us a lot. It's a feeling we all have”, he concluded.
