Pedri Gonzalez assured on 'LaLiga TV' that the FC Barcelona dressing room worked together to beat Real Madrid after the defeat in Milan and acknowledged that he expected a match “with fewer goals”, but praised their ability to react in the 'Clasico'.
FC Barcelona won a 'Clasico' that leaves the league title practically sealed. With a seven-point lead with nine points left to play, they are almost within touching distance. In the mixed zone, Pedri Gonzalez spoke of the difficulty of the match against Real Madrid and highlighted how the squad has managed to come through.
“Defeat at Milan was a blow for us, but we talked about it in the dressing room and said that we had to win this game”, explained the midfielder, who admitted that the plan in the ‘Clasico’ did not go well: "We expected to have a more comfortable game and with fewer goals".
“We started very badly, but we have had the ability to come back all season,” assessed a Pedri who assisted Raphinha to score the goal that turned the score around. He also spoke to highlight the game of his teammate.
“Raphinha deserved the 'MVP' as much as anyone. What he is doing this season is a real barbarity,” he added. The Brazilian scored a brace that could have been even greater, as he himself acknowledged to the media after the match.
