'Jugones' reports that Atletico are doubting whether to fork out a large amount of money for the Uruguayan. At the same time, 'The Times' does not rule out a big offer from Chelsea.

Although this Tuesday, the arrival of Edinson Cavani seemed highly likely, things have gone quiet in recent hours.

Although the Uruguayan striker will not be in League Cup action this Wednesday, this does not bring him closer to the Spanish capital. 'The Times' speaks about Chelsea, who have made an offer to get him on loan.

He would not be one of PSG's desired options as they know Cavani's contract is coming to a close and a loan spell would leave without hardly any time to get something for the footballer.

Chelsea have great interest in securing the signing of a striker because of Olivier Giroud's possible departure and Cavani would be an option similar to those used at Stamford Bridge with Gonzalo Higuain and Radamel Falcao.

At the same time, 'Jugones' went into detail in the negotiations with Atletico Madrid. It is worth remembering that PSG want 20 million euros and Atletico do not want to invest more than 15, so everything seems to have hit at a roadblock at this moment in time.

Atletico are concerned about the Uruguayan's age and they do not want to spend too much so those extra five million euros seems to be a problem at this moment in time.
