Joan Laporta was clear. The Barcelona president has spoken about the situation at the club and he did not hesitate in making it clear that the club will take the decisions that need to be taken in order to make the team better. It is undoubtedly a warning for Ronald Koeman.

There is still lots of tension at Barcelona. Ronald Koeman's bizarre press conference on Wednesday added more fuel to the fire and the club's president Joan Laporta has given his opinion on coach Ronald Koeman several times.

Koeman did not take any questions and he just read a statement which he himself had written. In it, he tried to explain the club's complicated situation and asked the fans to be patient.

Since then, despite just 24 hours having passed, Laporta has referred to the statement on several occasions and made comments which were a clear attack on his coach: "I don't like defeatism, less talking and more working."

If that was not enough, 'El Chiringuito' has posted on social media an exclusive interview with Laporta shortly after he arrived in Cadiz where Barca will play Cadiz this Thursday in a matchday six La Liga clash.

When asked about the club's difficult situation and the terrible results with Koeman at the helm, the Barcelona president spoke loud and clear: "We ourselves are responsible for governing the club."

"We have more information when it comes to taking decisions and, therefore, we have to ponder everything much more. But, I insist, for us it isn't a problem to make decisions of any kind. And if we have to make them at a particular moment, we'll take them, whether they are financial. sporting or social decisions," he added.
