Argentinean actor Peter Lanzani picked up the Goya Award for best Ibero-American film for 'Argentina, 1985' and dedicated it to Lionel Messi for winning the World Cup in Qatar with the 'Albiceste'.

Lionel Messi is constantly receiving praise from all Argentinians after winning the World Cup in Qatar in December.

Argentine actor Peter Lanzani named the PSG striker at the Goya awards gala on Saturday. The actor won the award for best Ibero-American film for 'Argentina, 1985' and wanted to thank Messi.

"I want to thank Lionel Messi. He made the Argentinian people very happy," he said. Praise for the Albiceste captain received much applause at the event and his comments went viral on social media.

However, this is not the first time that world champions have appeared in a speech. Ricardo Darin was awarded at the Golden Globes and also dedicated the award to the national team.
