At the age of 17, Lamine Yamal reached 50 La Liga victories and once again reminded us that he was born to break youth records: the previous record was held by his teammate Gavi, but at the age of 19 years and 49 days.

It should not be surprising just because it is a regular occurrence. After Barcelona's last La Liga win against Mallorca, Lamine Yamal set a new youth record to update the La Liga books. The 'Cules' winger reached 50 wins in the championship. At just 17 years and 283 days. Crushing the previous record by almost two years.

Until Tuesday, the holder of that record was his teammate Gavi, but with 19 years and 49 days, when on September 23rd, 2023 Barcelona beat Celta 3-2, also with a comeback that day.

The midfielder from Seville had dethroned Real Madrid icon Raul, another of the most precocious players in the history of La Liga; on January 26th, 1997, he had reached 50 wins with 164 days more than Gavi.

Lamine Yamal's half-century of victories came in 68 matches, and he has only suffered 10 draws and 8 defeats in La Liga.

The 10 youngest players to achieve 50 league victories:

Lamine Yamal: 17 years and 283 days Gavi: 19 years and 49 days Raul: 19 years and 213 days Bojan: 19 years and 253 days Pedri: 20 years and 72 days Ansu Fati: 20 years and 209 days Messi: 20 years and 224 days Muniain: 20 years and 247 days Vinicius: 20 years and 308 days Agüero: 20 years and 320 days
