Atlético Madrid are once again linked with Alexandre Lacazette, but this time the striker himself has come up to deny it. He says he wants to stay at Arsenal.

Alexandre Lacazette has ruled out a possible move to Atletico Madrid for next season. In an interview with 'L'Equipe', the Arsenal striker denied the rumours were true and said he wants to see out his contract at the Gunners.

"Every summer my name and Atletico's are in the same sentence. It's boring, but sometimes you learn things. I knew that I had called Antoine Griezmann to speak about Atletico, for example, by reading somebody who seemed to be better informed than me," the Frenchman criticised.

Lacazette, when asked about the possibility of being involved in swap deal with Thomas Partey, was also very clear. "If that's true, it doesn't make me happy," the footballer said. He denied he wanted to join Atletico, who had the chance to get him in 2017 had it not been for a UEFA ban.

The footballer also talked about Mikel Arteta. "The person who makes the team is the manager, not those who are in the offices and I know I have his confidence."

"I'm at Arsenal, I signed a five season contract to progress and win titles. I have two years left and I'm convinced about staying," the Arsenal striker concluded."
