Kroos signs new long-term contract

Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos has penned a new deal with the club until 2022.

The German midfielder has put transfer speculation to bed after he signed a new contract with the La Liga side on Wednesday.

A Real Madrid club statement read: "Real Madrid C. F. and Toni Kroos have come to an agreement on a contract extension which will see the player linked to the club until 30 June 2022".

The 26-year-old is due to speak to the media about his contract extension today.

Kroos has been at Real Madrid for just over two seasons and has played 108 times for the Spanish side, scoring four goals.
