Former Olympiacos player Kostas Manolas has joined Sharjah FC. The Greek has signed for the UAE side for two years and joins a team that already has Miralem Pjanic and Paco Alcacer.

Sharjah FC confirmed the arrival of their "new Greek warrior". The 31-year-old defender signed with the UAE club for the next two years.

After finishing his time at Olympiacos last season, Kostas Manolas joins a great project that, during the transfer window and in previous seasons, signed great players such as Miralem Pjanic and Paco Alcacer

Manolas' spell in Greece was short-lived. Despite making a total of 22 appearances for the team from the Greek capital, he had a very poor spell, as he failed to score a single goal. A lot has to do with this decision Michel, who as the current Olympiacos coach, would have had some influence in the decision to let him leave so that the club could save his salary.

The Greek's arrival means that Sharjah FC will be aiming for everything next season. They are currently top of the table with nine points from three games along with Al Jazira. Let's see if these signings are enough to make them champions.
