Kolo Toure appointed Ivory Coast assistant coach
Former Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has been appointed as an assistant coach to the Ivory Coast national team.
Former Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City defender Kolo Toure has been appointed as an assistant coach to the Ivory Coast national team.
The Ivorian Football Federation (FIF) has announced Toure will work under ex-Belgium coach Marc Wilmots.
The 36-year-old recently retired from football and took up a role on the back room staff of his last club Celtic.
As a player, Toure helped the Ivory Coast win the African Nations Cup in 2015.
A statement from the FIF read: "He will take on the role of coach Marc Wilmots' assistant from the Mali-Cote d'Ivoire match of October 6, 2017."
