Rui Patricio had to be stretched off the pitch after receiving a knee in the head from his captain, Coady. After the game, Klopp spoke to the press, stating what many agree with: "Everyone could see it was offside but these are the rules. They need to be reviewed".

Jurgen Klopp was very critical in his press conference regarding the blow to the face received by Rui Patricio during the Premier League game between Wolves and Liverpool.

The incident occurred when the Wolves goalkeeper collided with his teammate, Connor Coady as the two were trying to stop a Salah goal which ended up being offside. However, the rules state that the linesman must let the play end before raising the flag.

If the offside had been called in the moment, Rui Patricio would not have had to go off on a stretcher, a conclusion that Klopp reached when talking to the press after the game.

"Everybody sees that it is offside, but these are the rules. We have talked about some rules that should be reviewed for sure", said the German coach.

He added: "I only saw the result, obviously, but not the situation, because I looked at the goal and then I saw the flag being raised and I was surprised that the goalkeeper was on the ground".

"But I heard what happened and in that moment everything else loses importance immediately. I don't know how long it took exactly, but seven, eight minutes and that's really long and then you worry even more. We wish him all the best, a good recovery and we hope this happens immediately", finished the Liverpool manager.
