Jurgen Klopp was asked on Sunday if rumours that his side are looking to sign Ousmane Dembele are true. Klopp responded in typical Klopp fashion.

Klopp was speaking to the press after Liverpool lost 1-0 to Chelsea on Sunday, three points which gives Antonio Conte's side hope of pipping the Reds to a top four spot.

It was obviously not a result that pleased the Liverpool boss, but he maintained his cheer after the game, and answered humourously when journalists asked him about rumours that Liverpool are pursuing a deal for Ousman Dembele, the Barcelona starlet.

Dembele only joined Barca last summer, and although he hasn't had a great debut season, it seems highly unlikely that the Spanish side will be looking to get rid, having paid £95m for the Frenchman last year. Klopp clearly isn't taking the rumours too seriously, and he laughed them off when questioned.

"Oh, is he [Dembele] on the market?" Klopp replied sarcastically. "Now I’m interested!"

“I’m from Liverpool, I never comment on the rumours, already I said much more than I usually say.”

The German also responded to questions about Nabil Fekir, another player Liverpool have been linked with. Reports on Sunday suggested that the Merseyside club had agreed a deal for the Lyon player, but again Klopp responded with humour. "During the game we agreed a deal?" he said. "I would be surprised about that to be honest."
