According to information revealed by 'ESPN', Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen have the option of unilaterally terminating that their contracts at Barcelona if they are not registered before the first competitive game.

Problems in sight for Barca. Or at least, the possibility of problems. According to 'ESPN', Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen have the option of leaving Barcelona for free if they continue to have problems with registrations.

With just three days to go until the league debut against Rayo Vallecano, the Catalans have still not been able to register their new La Liga signings. As well as the two aforementioned players, Robert Lewandowski, Raphinha and Jules Kounde are also yet to be registered plus the renewed Ousmane Dembele and Sergio Busquets.

Unlike the rest of the new faces, Kessie and Christensen arrived at the Camp Nou on a free. And in their contracts, there is reportedly a clause which allows them to unilaterally terminate their contracts if they are not registered before the first league game.

'ESPN', despite this, says that they are not expecting such an extreme thing to happen. Joan Laporta and his team are continuing to work against the clock, after having activated the fourth financial lever, in order to get the income from a sale which gives them salarial margin to register the players.

Although time is pressing, there is optimism at the club with regards to the registering of the players. And if they are unable to achieve it, the club believe that they can persuade their respective agents to gain time and be registered in La Liga before the end of the transfer window with a view to sell an important player and be able to balance the books (Memphis, De Jong and Aubameyang are the favourites).
