Marcelo, during the press conference ahead of Real Madrid's match against Al Jazira at the Club World Cup, spoke about several current issues related to the club. One of the things he was questioned about was the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga.

The Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper is on the radar of Real Madrid. The club from the Spanish capital want to secure his signing in January. He would be their goalkeeper both for the present and for the future.

"Kepa? I am satisfied with my squad... I sound like a coach... We have a mix of players with experience and youngsters, I am not the one who decides to signings, but to be at Madrid you have to be the best, and if the best have to be signed, then welcome," Marcelo said.

On Madrid's opponents Al Jazira, the Brazilian left-back said: "I know they are a young club, I know that they have a Brazilian player, Romarinho, who is a great player, but I don't know much else.

"I don't change anything, I have my routines. I do what I do before semi-finals and finals, but it doesn't change much, we try to be more united, at this tournament it's vital that we are united.

"We change very little, we don't even change our music or anything," the 29-year-old joked.

Are Real Madrid the favourites? "Experience means very little. The next match is always going to be different. We already know what it is like to win it and that gives us a lot more motivation.

"I'm sure that as a team we will give it our all, just like we do in every competition," he contested.
