After Inter offered to do a swap with Barca involving Antoine Griezmann and Lautaro Martinez, 'Mundo Deportivo' wonders whether Chelsea and Barca could do the same with Philippe Coutinho and N'Golo Kante.
As the current coronavirus sitation prevents them making big money signings for the time being, Barcelona are insisting on swap deals to get new players in over the coming months.
Although their offers have not been accepted up to now, there is talk in Barcelona of a swap including top players with another top European club.
'Mundo Deportivo' surprisingly put N'Golo Kante on the front page of their paper this Wednesday. "Kante option" was the headline, which asked whether a swap involving him and Philippe Coutinho was possible.
Chelsea seemed in recent weeks to be the team most interested in the Brazilian and Barcelona are weighing up that option to reinforce the midfield with a physical player.
'L'Equipe' announced that the price of the French footballer would be around 70 million euros, which would allow a straight swap with the Brazilian, currently on loan at Bayern.
The only problem for Barcelona is that Kante is no longer a kid. Although he has still got a career ahead of him, at 29, it seems like he will soon be heading towards the back end of his career.
Couinho is only 27 and has still got a lot of football ahead of him. Will Barca prefer to sell a player like Coutinho who is younger, but cannot get into the Barca team in order to get a quality midfielder with the experience of Kante?
