Tottenham striker Harry Kane made Premier League history against Southampton on Tuesday, heading home with 22 minutes played to beat the Premier League record for goals scored in a calendar year.
The goal moved Kane onto 37 Premier League goals in 2017, beating Alan Shearer's Premier League record of 36 set in 1995 when he was at Blackburn.
Even more impressively, Kane has reached the tally in just 36 games, some six less than Shearer needed to set the previous record.
When the landmark goal came, it was a simple one, with Kane heading home Christian Eriksen's set-piece from the left from close range.
Not content with one, Kane added a second before halftime to put daylight between his tally and that of Shearer.
