Harry Kane, who opened his Bundesliga account against Werder Bremmen in Bayern's league opener, has now got himself his first goal in front of a home crowd - from the penalty spot - against Augsburg. This takes his tally up to two goals from two league games in a Beyern Munich shirt.

Bayern Munich, who started their 2023-24 season well with a convincing thumping of Werder Bremen (0-4), looked to continue their display of dominance as they hosted Augsburg in the Allianz Arena.

The hosts got themselves in front with an own goal by Uduokhai in the 32nd minute and new arrival Harry Kane did his bit to increase that advantage. The Englishman was on target again on matchday two from the spot.

Kimmich, from the edge of the area, tried his luck with a right-footed shot that Dorsch deflected with his hand. The referee, after VAR intervened, pointed to the spot and the new Bayern striker took the responsibility.

Kane went determinedly to the ball and beat Dahmen with a shot into the centre of the goal when the keeper had dived to his left to no avail. Two goals in two games for the England captain, the first in his new home.
