Harry Kane, Tottenham Hotspur and England national team player, is showing a great progress towards a type of goalscoring and assisting footballer that would be the natural evolution of a '9' of his qualities.

On his World Cup debut in Qatar, Harry Kane was rather generous despite having the chance to take over the throne of England's all-time top scorer. In that match, he assisted twice.

The British striker proved his passing potential in the 2020-21 campaign, when he finished the season as top scorer with 23 goals and top assist man with 14 assists.

Mourinho never doubted his qualities when he was at Tottenham. In a press conference he said he was among the top players at the moment: "He is one of the best strikers in the world for the goals he can score, the assists he can give, his influence and his personality.

Former England international Danny Mills also praised the '9' on 'BBC': "He's an unbelievable goalscorer. His finishing is the most obvious part of his strengths, but his link-up play... He's a '9' who can do very well as a '10'. He is not just decisive in the box. Harry gives opportunities to the rest of them.
