Kagawa joins PAOK Salonika after disappointing time in Spain

PAOK FC have announced the official signing of Shinji Kagawa, who has joined the Greek outfit until June 2022. The Japanese midfielder will wear the number 23. 

The 31 year-old Japanese international was without a club after putting an end to his time at Zaragoza. That was his first time in Spanish football and he ended up playing 36 competitive matches. His stats left a lot to be desired for a player of his quality. 

Before that, Kagawa was at Borussia Dortmund and Man Utd. In Germany, he scored 60 goals in 216 competitive appearances while he only played 57 times in England. 

In Japan, he played 120 matches for Cerezo Osaka. He began there when he was a teenager and that appearance allowed him to make the step up to European football.
