Juventus were deducted 15 points for the 'Prisma Case' and fell to 10th place. After the announcement of the sanction, the club announced they will be appealing the decision on the basis of the Sporting Justice's Code.

The news came out on Friday evening that Juventus had been docked 15 points. That is why the Italian side fell to 10th spot and getting into European football was made a whole lot harder, as if it was not complicated enough before.

This was because of the 'Prisma Case', the result of the investigation over capital gains that the side had supposedly been applying to several transactions to benefit from themselves despite the figures which they said were in their account were inflated and not real.

After the announcement, the Italian side did not remain silent and said that they will be appealing the sentence: "The Company awaits the publication of the reasons of the decision and announces as of now the bringing of an appeal to the Sport Guarantee Board (Collegio di Garanzia dello Sport) in accordance with the terms of the Sport Justice Code.".

Juventus will therefore challenge the ruling, which is still not official until all the legal routes have been exhausted. For now though, they have been denied the chance to fight for the title and their ticket into European football has been complicated a lot.
