Italian champions Juventus are thought to be keeping a close eye on Arsenal striker Olivier Giroud, given the Frenchman's limited game time so far this season.

Arsenal's big-money purchase of Alexandre Lacazette during the summer pushed Giroud down the pecking order, despite the veteran keeping his compatriot out of the French national side.

The French international has been limited to just three starts for Arsene Wenger's side so far this season, with all of those coming in either the EFL Cup or Europa League.

Giroud maintains a status as a fans' favourite at the Emirates, having scored 100 goals in 237 appearances since joining the club from Montpellier in 2012.

The 31-year-old recently admitted that he was 'very close' to joining Everton in the summer, before deciding that he had unfinished business with the 'Gunners'.

However, with chances to play regular football dwindling, 'The Daily Mail' reports that the powerful striker could now be set to bid goodbye to Wenger's side by heading for Turin.

They report that the 'Old Lady' are on the lookout for a striker to complement the talents of Paulo Dybala and Gonzalo Higuain but who won't break the bank, with Giroud having emerged as their main target.

Reports claim though that they will face competition from Inter Milan should they decide to pursue the player.
