Liverpool has announced that Joe Gomez has returned to training and Jurgen Klopp will hope that he can use him for their upcoming encounters. The coach is also expecting to have Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain available from next week.

Liverpool's list of injured players is starting to decrease, although little by little. Joe Gomez suffered a muscular tear in his leg in December and has not been able to train with his teammates since.

On Thursday he was seen accompanying the rest of the squad in some training activities. The technical staff at Liverpool will not want to push his recovery ahead of their clash with Tottenham on Sunday, but will hope that he will be available in the next few weeks.

Milner took part in a press conference highlighted that it is "big news" for the Reds, who have relied on Matip and van Dijk for a number of months now.

Oxlade Chamberlain is expected to be back to full fitness next week, after a knee injury.

"Ox has obviously been out a long time and was playing fantastically well before he got injured, Joe the same. I think the more difficult it is for the manager to pick a team, the better it is for the team to achieve what we want to achieve", Milner highlighted.
