Joao Felix's future remains uncertain. The once promising youngster seems to have stalled and has yet to consistently showcase his full potential, only displaying flashes of brilliance. Currently, the attacking midfielder is under contract with Chelsea until 2031, although his continuation with the 'Blues' does not seem assured.
The Portuguese international took advantage of a promotional event in his country to speak about his future and declare his undying love for Benfica: "Everyone knows that Benfica is the club of my heart. One day I will return, for sure, I don't know if now or in the future. I have some ideas in my head: either stay in England or return to Benfica."
"That's where I'm leaning more towards. I feel that I need to be at home, and that's why Benfica is one of the ideas I have in my head," Joao Felix admitted.
Joao Felix left on loan in the winter market to Milan, where he has failed to secure a starting place and has only played 10 games from the start, scoring just three goals in this period. The 'Rossoneri' have not exercised the option to buy, and the Portuguese player has returned to England.
