James moves closer to Olympiakos and away from Galatasaray

James Rodriguez is very close to fulfiling his wish to return to Europe, but not for Galatasaray, a team he has recently been linked with. According to the latest information, the Colombian will leave Al Rayyan for Olympiakos and be reunited with former Real Madrid teammate Marcelo.

The transfer window in Greece closes on 15th September and the teams in that league are trying to make the signings they need to make in the final few hours of the market. Some big signings have been made such as that of Marcelo to Olympiakos. 

The club who signed the Brazilian and former Real Madrid man want to sign another South American player who used to play for Madrid. Carlos Corberan's men are very close to completing the signing of James Rodriguez from Qatari side Al Rayyan. This is according to 'Gazzetta.gr.'

The Colombian has been trying to sort out his months his return to Europe. Throughout the summer, he has been linked with PSV, Fenerbahce, Inter Miami, Botafogo, Atletico Madrid, West Ham and Galatasaray. In addition, the midfielder sent a message to Valencia in the final few days in the transfer window. 

James Rodriguez had a great time at top clubs during his first spell in Europe. He was at Porto, Monaco, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Everton and he won 25 trophies including two Champions Leagues at Real Madrid.
