The Magpies host Tottenham in a game in which it is crucial for both teams to get three points in order to fight for Champions League qualification for next season. Howe's side came out all guns blazing and took just a minute to take the lead.

It took Newcastle just a minute to show Tottenham their intentions. Howe's side came out all guns blazing and with just 61 seconds on the clock Jacob Murphy put the Magpies ahead.

Brazilian Joelinton picked up the ball on the edge of the box, drove it to the penalty spot and tried to beat Lloris with a low shot to the far post. The French goalkeeper managed to parry the ball but Murphy took the rebound and pushed the ball into the net.

The English right winger has made 37 appearances in total this season for the Magpies, 13 of them starts. Despite the large number of appearances the Englishman has scored just two goals this season and provided two assists.

With this result Newcastle would take a big step towards qualification for the Champions League, moving six points clear of Tottenham and level on points with Manchester United.
