Yahya Jabrane was included in the 26 man squad for the Morocco national side for the Qatar World Cup, which has thrown up an interesting fact: he also played a futsal World Cup, which means he will be in a special group of players to have done both.

Football and futsal have always gone hand in hand. Two different sports which, despite having a lot in common, also have big differences.

A lot of players have tried out the smaller pitch for one reason or another, and later ended up playing 11-a-side. Rafa Mir, Ben Yedder and Saviola were a few of them, but none of them managed to compete in a World Cup with both sides.

Yahya Jabrane has the chance to do it, after being selected in Morocco's 26-man squad for Qatar. The midfielder participated in the 2012 Futsal World Cup, when the 'Atlas Lions' played their first tournament at that level, getting their first goal too.

The other players who are on this select list are Brian Laudrup (Michael Laudrup's brother), Tab Ramos, Agoos, Vermes and Fernando Clavijo. This is another example of futsal being a base to reveal technical talent which are then transferred to the bigger pitch.
