Niko Kovac referred to Bayern Munich's decision about terminating his contract after the painful 5-1 defeat at the hands of Eintracht Frankfurt. He surprised when saying that the team made the "correct decision".
The statement with which the Bavarian team announced the dismissal of their coach had incorporated words along the same lines. It was a farewell written in key resignation and gratittude.
"The results and the way in which we played the last game brought us to make this decision. My brother Robert (who is part of the coaching staff) and I would like to thank Bayern for the last year and a half," expressed the now-unemployed coach.
Moreover, he valued all the good things experienced during his journey in the Allianz Arena. "During this time, our team won the championship, the Cup and the Supercup. It was a good time. I wish the club and the team all the best," said Kovac in his farewell.
