Real Madrid keeper Keylor Navas has recognised the scale of Real Madrid's achievement of making it to three Champions League finals in a row.

"It's really good to be able to play in a third consecutive final. We want to enjoy it, and make this story longer," Navas said, in an interview with 'Mahou Cinco Estrellas', in which he revealed his feelings in the lead up to Real's Champions League final against Liverpool on Saturday.

The Costa-Rica international believes that "the experience of the dressing room in games like this" will be key. "We aren't relaxed, but it's not a new situation for us," he said.

Navas also explained the "importance of going into the final in the best way possible", whilst praising opponents Liverpool. The keeper will be tasked with stopping the prolific front three of Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino quiet, and he admitted that Liverpool have "players who can make the difference."

The Madrid keeper is confident in his teammates, however. "I have the best defense in the world [in front of me]," he stated. "I trust in my teammates completely."

Touching on Real's semi-final, Navas said that the clash against Bayern was the sort of game you dream about. "Against Bayern I came out very happy on a personal level," he said. "It was a great team effort, that's how we got a great result. It was one of those games you dream about, it was exciting."

Concluding, the Costa Rican touched on his nation's chances in this summer's World Cup in Russia, where the South American side are in a tricky group with Brazil, Serbia and Switzerland.

"It's a new challenge for Costa Rica," the keeper said. "It won't be easy, but we will give everything we can to go as far as possible."
