Bayern Munich President Herbet Hainer has joined in the critics of Manuel Neuer after his controversial interview where the goalkeeper and club captain attacked the club for sacking goalkeeping coach Toni Tapalovic.

"For the club it's unthinkable and disappointing that Manuel Neuer didn't seek to communicate with us directly, but went to the press instead", Hainer said.
"I'm more disappointed than angry because I thought Manuel, being a great player who has spent a long time here, would speak about those things with us first", he added.
Hainer's criticism joins him to those already put forward by Sporting Advisor President Oliver Kahn, and Sporting Director Hasan Salihamidzic.
Hainer, however, ruled out that the Tapalovic case could lead to Neuer's contract being rescinded despite it being suggested by certain media outlets.
"No, we're Bayern Munich and here these conflicts are managed internally and in the end they strengthen the club", he said.
When asked whether Neuer, who is currently injured and out until the end of the season, could lose the captaincy, Hainer responded evasively.
"We'll meet with him and we'll analyse everything professionally. Manuel Neuer is a world class goalkeeper who has been with us for more than 10 years, now the most important thing is that he gets over his injury. Then we'll see", he said. Currently, Thomas Muller is standing in as captain and Yan Sommer is in goal who was signed as an emergency in January faced with Neuer's injury.
