Pedri, who scored twice in Spain's victory over Turkey in Konya (0-6), said it was “a perfect game” in which they played with “intensity” from the start, and downplayed his goal-scoring contribution.
"It was a perfect game, from the very beginning we played with the intensity that the game demanded. We knew it wasn't going to be easy, but it turned out well for us thanks to the team's efforts," he analyzed.
"We came in knowing it would be difficult, that they were going to press hard and we had to come out strong. We dominated to be superior, and at halftime the coach asked us to continue with the same intensity because we needed goals. You never know if they might come in handy in the future. We maintained the intensity, as reflected in the result," he added on Teledeporte.
Pedri, who scored twice and was involved in numerous dangerous moves for Spain, was happy with his brace but even happier with the win. “It feels great to score, every time I do it's almost a brace. I'm especially happy to help the team, the goals are secondary.”
